McBratney's in Monrovia on Myrtle, 1930

This is a 1930s ad for McBratney's.

This photo is of the McBratney's store on the west side of Myrtle @ Lemon Avenue on the 1939 Monrovia's Day Parade.  Exciting, right?

This shot is also taken on the 1939 Monrovia Day Parade.
Here is the old JC Penny's on Myrtle in Monrovia.  Thanks to my dad, my brothers and I were able to buy pants and shoes here.  I did come to love this JCPenney that is before Nora used to take us shopping at JCPenney in Burbank.  The Monrovia store was small and intimate, unlike the warehouse-sized one that resided over at the Santa Anita Mall.
