Los Angeles Flood of 1938

1938, Washed out bridge over the Los Angeles River at Colfax Avenue in Studio City, March 2, 1938.  The Los Angeles flood of 1938 was a major flooding event that affected much of Los Angeles, Orange County, and Riverside County. The flood was responsible for destroying 5,601 homes, damaging 1,500 homes, and killing approximately 110 people.  Thanks to Valley Relics Museum
