Interior of St. Sophia Cathedral.  This is a terrific link to pictures of buildings in the old and classic West Adams section of Los Angeles.  That you should enjoy.  This site provides you with an extensive list of stunning architect throughout the greater LA area with many beautiful churches, but mostly about local residential and library architect.

This is the famous St. Vincent's on Figueroa at Adams.  I went in here twice with my dad, who loved going in for prayer or on Saturdays for confession.  A relationship with God was quite important for him.  He'd pray the Rosary on the road between home and his destination.  He loved to stop at churches to get a copy of The Tidings, get some holy water on his intersecting brow, and pray for Ma and Pa and Josephine.  My dad also wanted to show me his past, his youth and get me to ask questions about it so that he could share with me his joys.  So many things about the man and his life were to me were always a privilege to learn.  Here is a site that lists colored photos of some of the more beautiful churches in Los Angeles.http://jpg1.lapl.org/pics24/00031876.jpg
Another view of St. Vincent's.
