Duarte

One of the best experiences of living through the '60's in the East San Gabriel Valley was the Helms Bakery truck.  This was the most looked-for attraction.  For a real retrospective, check this out.
Here is one source of history on Duarte, Duarte's very own Duarte Historical Museum, which when first inaugurated was located at the southwest corner of Duarte Park on Buena Vista.

For a tour down memory lane through West Covina, La Puente, and Baldwin Park, this is worth the few minutes in price.
