It's difficult, if not outright impossible, to do justice to a blog on the Walgenbach family without discussing in some way their lives in San Gabriel, California. The Walgenbachs lives on Gladys Avenue; their house stood on the west side of the road, facing east. Behind them in the backyard was a cesspool. When did the Walgenbachs move to Gladys? Good question. They left Gladys in 1960 to move to Duarte.
